This week is National Engineers Week.  What are you doing to celebrate?

So far as I can tell, our School of Engineering is doing nothing special this week.  Like Computer Science Education Week last November, I suspect that there is very little going on visible to anyone other than organizers.  There have been events with bigger press, like the USA Science and Engineering Festival.

[Correction: I've been pointed to the National Engineering Week badge on the SoE home page, which turned out to be a button pointing to a list of activities. There was no indication that this badge was actually a button, and no mention in the News or Events columns, so I think I can be forgiven for not having noticed that anything was happening.  The pointer goes to a poster that lists 5 events (including a programming contest and a soldering contest).]

Still, anything that can be done to improve the visibility of US engineers and engineering education is probably a good thing, as fewer and fewer US students prepare themselves for a career in engineering.
