December tomatoes

At the beginning of November, I posted about the tomato plants that were still producing a few tomatoes.  We’ve had such a mild November, that we are still getting a few tomatoes (very few) in December.

The plant on the patio seems to be dying, but parts of it still look like we may get fruit.

The driveway plants are a little healthier, but clearly getting to the end of their season.

Here are some cherry tomatoes from one of the driveway plants.

And here are some from the other driveway plant.

How lovely! and, I’m jealous :) I’m in Oregon and we had our first frost in October, so I clipped the stems slightly up from each grouping of green cherry tomatoes and put all the groups in a cardboard box. Have ripened at least 100 cherry tomatoes out of the box, but will probably give up this weekend — some of them just aren’t ever going to make it.
